Honoree to be surprised when “unmasked” at the gala

A special note regarding the 2018 Gala

THANK YOU for your devoted and generous support. 

This year's gala is proving to be a unique and exciting opportunity to exceed our fundraising goals.   Last September, a group of community leaders approached the chapter and suggested an honoree for the gala.  They proposed that they would raise the $100,000 the honoree would normally be responsible for with the understanding that the honoree would not know he/she was receiving this honor until the night of the gala.   The only individuals who know are the chapters’ executive director and board president.  This has added great excitement around the event – and is tied into the theme as we “UNMASK” the honoree on the night of the gala.  This group of community leaders hit the ground running in October and have been hugely successful – selling sponsorships, tables, ads, tickets and securing some great auction items.  We always send the gala invites out 6-7 weeks prior to the event and this is what typically triggers lots of activity including tickets and tables.   This year however, the gala has sold out prior to the invitations even being mailed.  While this is awesome and we are looking forward to an extremely successful evening, we hope no one will be disappointed or upset if they are unable to physically attend this year's event.

If you have not already secured a table or tickets, we hope you will understand and you will still support the gala and JDRF by making a donation to Fund a Cure (FAC) or placing an ad in the ad journal.  If you want us to include you on a wait list in case some tickets become available, please contact the office at 856-429-1101.  Again, thank you for your continued support.
